Hygiene Supervisor, Wellingborough

Our Hygiene Supervisor will be a hands-on team player, ensuring that excellent hygiene standards are maintained throughout the site. You will be responsible for supervising the Hygiene team and drive continuous improvements to ensure that the site continues to achieve exceptional audit results. Your duties will include ensuring that all food safety and pest control checks are performed as per the process. You will monitor performance against the standards and provide both training and guidance to the team, ensuring that the sites ‘clean as you go’ policy is maintained by all colleagues. You will report directly to the sites Hygiene & Facilities Manager and will deputise in their absence.
The hours of work are 40 per week, on a Monday to Friday shift pattern. Occasional weekend working may be required in order to meet the business needs.
The main duties will include:
- To have a full understanding of the COSHH requirements and chemicals in use.
- Full understanding of Health and Safety procedures and document needs of the department.
- To immediately report all potential hygiene and health & safety hazards and/or unsafe working practices to the Hygiene Manager.
- To have a full understanding of the cleaning systems, schedules, equipment and procedures throughout the site.
- To ensure all correct PPE is in good condition and worn at all times.
- To complete stock takes and order all cleaning materials as and when required.
- To ensure all areas are clean to support site visits and audits.
- Implement training sessions for the team.
- To perform other such duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the role and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.
