Milling Technician, Selby

Our Milling Technicians work with our Shift Managers and Shift Millers ensuring the site’s mill is operating efficiently and producing our products to the highest possible standard.  We are a relatively small team so teamwork and being able to think on your feet is a must.  We work a rotating shift pattern which includes some days, nights and weekend working.

In terms of role itself, the main duties include:

• Maximising the performance of the mill and out-loading to ensure the best quality products.
• Ensuring compliance with Company and statutory legislation such as Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, BRC and Product Safety (HACCP).
• Reviewing testing and quality information to ensure our products meet specification.
• Liaising with colleagues to ensure processes and procedures are followed.
• Understanding processes, standards and systems.
• Working with others to ensure KPI’s are met.
• Dealing with outages and breakdowns.
